STATE OF EMERGENCY IMPOSED IN FERGUSON AMIDST PROTESTS

A state of emergency is currently in force in the city of Ferguson amidst protests marking the anniversary of the death of Michael Brown,18, an unarmed teenager who was killed by a white police officer in August 2014 and was cleared by a grand jury and US Department of Justice of any wrong doing.
Another black teenager was on Sunday critically injured in a gun battle with police and the city is reported to be tense.
Tyrone Harris, 18, the teenager was later charged with assaulting police officers.
Jay Nixon, Missouri Governor has appealed for protests to be peaceful.
Tyrone Harris is a friend of the late Michael Brown.
